How Certifier integrates with Skool
Certifier connects to Skool through Zapier. This bridge app can pass membership and credential data in either direction across your Skool and Certifier accounts.
For issuing, Skool’s “New Paid Member” Zapier trigger sends a new member’s name and email address to Certifier. Then, Certifier creates a personalized certificate, badge, or credential from your chosen template and emails it straight to the new recipient.
For course progression, Certifier’s “Credential Issued” trigger can automatically give the member access to their next Skool course. This rewards progress and keeps learners moving through the program without manual updates.

Setup steps

Enable Zapier under Skool Plugins, then copy the API key and your Skool group URL.

Open Zapier and create a new Zap. Choose Skool as the trigger app for member credentials, or Certifier for course access.

Select a trigger event. If Skool is the trigger app, choose “New Paid Member.” For Certifier, choose “Issued Credential.”

Choose an action. For new credentials, select Certifier and “Issue Credential.” For unlocking courses, choose Skool and “Unlock Course for Member.”

Select the Certifier group with your chosen credential template, then map the required member and credential or course fields.

Frequently asked questions
Currently, you can’t issue course or lesson completion certificates directly through Skool’s Zapier workflow, since the automation offers no course-related triggers. You’ll be limited to two options, namely “New Paid Member” and “Answered Membership Questions.”
To connect to Zapier, you need a Pro Skool plan and group-admin access. Next, find your Skool API key, available under Settings > Plugins > Zapier.
Zapier also asks for the end of your group URL (e.g., als-referrals-2732). Once connected, you can use a Free Zapier account with up to 100 workflow steps per month. Higher limits require a Professional plan.
Yes. In Certifier’s “Issue Credential” action, set Issue Credential to “False.” Zapier will create each member credential as a draft instead of publishing it.
Review the recipient data in Certifier, correct anything needed, then publish the approved credential manually. You can also update already published credentials anytime.

Yes, all issued credentials remain available through Certifier after a recipient leaves Skool. By default, they stay active until you delete them.
You can delete any credential from your Certifier dashboard and the recipient will lose access immediately. Note that you can’t restore the deleted credential later.
